I have been training at CrossFit 619 in San Diego for 7 months and absolutely love it. What I like the most about this gym is all the positive people around who really care about the atmosphere and vibe of the gym and enjoy seeing other people succeed in personal goals. As for Chris, he is amazing. Not only do I do the crossfit classes but I also do one-on-one training with Chris. He is such a motivational role model who pushes you to work hard and get a great workout in. I have seen such a positive improvement with my body since I first started and am excited to continue with my own personal growth. I definitely recommend people coming in and experiencing the positive vibe 619 gives off and the workouts that are one of a kind!

As a licensed physical therapist with more than 10 years experience specializing in sports medicine and orthopedics and as a former Division I All-Conference free safety, I had a very high standard when it came to choosing a personal trainer that would not only motivate me, but also knew what the hell he was talking about. CrossFit 619 has been my box for almost two years and I have done nothing but thrive in this environment. Nearly every day I return for inspirtation, skillful instruction, a tough WOD (workout of the day) and a sense of community. CrossFit 619 is a rockin’ CrossFit Affiliate with fantastic coaching and clients.

Chris Keith is anexcellent coach whose main function is helping us get the best workouts we can and obtain the results that we are after. He expects his CrossFitters’ and Trainers’ to be enthusiastic and hard-working, which assists in maintaining the high-level of energy we have at the gym. Our other coaches – Josh, Dave and Veronica – are truly experts in what they do, they dependably provide us with sound knowledge to guide skill work on the intricacies of CrossFit fundamentals (i.e., conditioning, olympic lifts, gymnastics).

A little about my experience…I have been a team member at CrossFit 619 since April 2010 and my journey has been nothing but amazing. First it may be important to say that I am fairly athletic and dedicated to a healthy lifestyle so I always look forward to being pushed to, and sometimes beyond my limits. I have always been aware of the need for dedication and consistency in this program; it is really a requirement if you want to get the results that you are most likely looking for. When I began…week one…holy moly…wow…totally kicked my butt; week two, three, four…same thing, but I started noticing results and was actually having a great time, surrounded by great people and pushing myself like never before. By week seven I purchased another year…after that year, another year. I really feel that this is one of the best things I have ever done for myself and do not ever plan on stopping. I actually crave CrossFit WOD’s and the sense of community I get at CrossFit 619 – you can normally find me there five days a week.

Truthfully, I LOVE CROSSFIT 619, I enjoy the INSPIRATION I get from the other team members, and I believe Chris, Josh, Dave and Veronica are AMAZING COACHES & TRAINERS.

I joined CF619 back in February not knowing the first thing about the CrossFit concept. I had been doing triathlon training , running, and lifting on my own and doing BootCamp with another outfit. For me CF619 results speak volumes. My performance has improved significantly and so has my body weight composition. I gone down 2 sizes on my pants and lost 5lbs. I basically stop training for triathlons and yet every race I’ve done this year is about 10-12 mins better than the previous race. Chris is constantly challenging you to push yourself and do better than the last time. I must say it’s not for everyone, this is for what I describe as a “self motivated committed athlete”. Although I encourage people to try it at least a week and judge for themselves. The team camaraderie is awesome, so when you are struggling you get the support to push through the workout. Lately we’ve had a series of instructors join CF619, to teach the classes- all very qualified and supportive.

Cross fit 619 are for those who are serious about working out and getting the best results. Chris knows his stuff and does care about his clients. He will do what it takes push you to get the best results. Its the only way to get better. When i first walked in the gym i knew that i was in for some hard workouts and i was looking forward to it. Of course chris wont let you slack off and not push you. Or else you wouldn’t achieve anything. He is a great coach and if your willing to commit to your workouts like he does then you will accomplish much. If you dont want to give your all and be disciplined then dont sign up. Otherwise joining Crossfit 619 will change your mindset of a healthier lifestyle and will get you the results you are looking for. i worked out with chris for about a month until i had to move up to the OC for college. I am not able to workout how i did at crossfit because of school and sports but for that month i was working out with chris. My well being felt so much better. My confidence was built there and as well as my work habits. I learned how to workout properly and more sufficient. Join crossfit and start a new improved lifestyle. You wont regret it.
